Going away overnight or for a few days? Your pets deserve more than just someone popping in. Overnight pet sitting is the gold standard of pet care when you’re away. Your pets stay in their own home, keep their normal routine, sleep in their usual spots, and have someone caring and qualified with them through the night. There’s no disorientation of a new environment, no risk of kennel cough, no unfamiliar animals, just consistent professional care.
Beth’s Pawfect Pet Services provides overnight pet sitting across Telford and Shropshire, staying in your home so your pets are never alone. As a qualified Regisitered Veterinary Nurse, I bring clinical knowlegde to overnight care, meaning if anything changes with your pet’s health or behaviour overnight, I’m the right person to be there.

Why choose a Vet Nurse for overnight pet sitting?
Overnight emergencies do happen: a dog that’s eaten something they shouldn’t, a cat in respiratory distress, a rabbit who’s gone into GI stasis. In those moments, who is with your pet matters enormously. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I can rapidly assess whether something is a genuine emergency, provide basic first aid, communicate clearly with the emgerency vet, and make informed decisions quickly on your behalf. I also know the difference between a dog who’s unsettled because you’re away and a dog who is genuinely unwell.
For pets with health conditions, on medication, or recovering from illness, having a Registered Veterinary Nurse overnight isn’t just a comfort; it can be genuinely life-saving.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is overnight pet sitting better than kennels?
For most pets, yes. At-home overnight care means no exposure to other animals’ stress or illnesses, no unfamiliar environments, no disruption to routine, and one-to-one care from a consistent person. Dogs who are anxious, elderly, or have health conditions particularly benefit from staying in their own home. The main advantage of kennels is 24-hour human presence if something goes wrong, which you also get with overnight sitting.
What time do you arrive and leave?
I’ll discuss timings with you before the booking to fit around your travel plans. Typically, I’d arrive mid-afternoon to early evening before you leave so your pets aren’t left alone, and leave the following morning once the morning routine is complete. For mutli-night bookings, we will discuss your pets needs during the day.
What if my pet is unwell overnight?
This is where having a Registered Veterinary Nurse with your pets overnight really matters. I’ll assess the situation and contact you or your emergency contact, as discussed at our meet and greet, and with your prior consent, take your pet to your registered emergency vet.
I carry your emergency contact details and your vets emergency details as standard.Do you stay in our home the whole time?
For single-night bookings, yes. I will sleep at your house so your pets have continuous company from the time I arrive to the time I leave the next morning. This is particularly important for dogs who are anxious or who have not been left alone before.
For multi-night booking, we will discuss your pet’s needs at your meet and greet.
